Pregnancy Week 40

Baby

Is the size of a RED PANDA.

Is anywhere from 6 to 9 pounds at this point and 19 to 22 inches long. Even if they are more or less they can still be perfectly healthy. Baby is hopefully head down at this point.

Baby is a complete freeloader now and just doesn’t want to come out. You have sent out eviction notices and even your doctor has probably set their own eviction date.

Maybe you’re doing everything you can to get that baby out of there, squats? Walking? Sex? Spicy foods? Wondering if someone had the dates off 38 weeks ago?

If you’re still going at this point, GOOD FOR YOU! You are a superwoman! You are amazing! Only 4% of babies actually show up on their due date. If you are one of the women past their due date, I applaud you. You and your baby deserve an award for getting through all the leaps and bounds and everything else that could happen during a pregnancy. Not that every woman doesn’t deserve an award for going through pregnancy and labor, but you get what I’m saying.

I really hope you’re still able to do all-the-things at this point and not just sitting around waiting and wondering if you’re actually having contractions.
